Black Swamp Arts Festival

The Black Swamp Arts Festival began in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1993, and by 1998 had expanded to include a local stage for bands from the local scene. Some of the local bands that have played at Black Swamp over the years include the female pop group The Cupcakes, Goiterjelly, and Three Quarter Tank. In 2002 the local stage gave way to an electronic stage, that again hosted local artists including Mechanical Cat, Golab, and JamBang.

The name Black Swamp comes from the name of the swamp that covered this entire area before it was drained by way of the Poe Ditch, the same ditch that the 1975 Poe Ditch Music Festival got its name, and we'll be visiting later in the tour.
