About

The Bowling Green Music & Cultural History Walking Tour was created By John King and Justin Kindelt as a class project for the Bowling Green State University graduate class Historical Society Administration taught by Dr. DeWayne Moore.

The project uses several media formats to create a virtual tour of some of Bowling Green's notable music and cultural contributions and moments. Each of the 9 stops on the walking tour has its own page with a written history and photographs. There is also a source guide here.

The entire tour is also accompanied by a 40 minute recorded audio program to guide listeners as they walk the 1.5 mile tour. The tour starts on Bowling Green's historic Main Street and travels through campus, ending at the Doyt L. Perry Stadium and takes about 40 minutes to walk.

We have also created an interactive map with more images and information for each stop. Participants are encouraged to add their own pictures and comments as well.
